Valentine's Nugget Tins

Why is it that I always wait until the last minute to finish gifts? Am I the only one who does this? It's not as if I don't know when Valentine's Day is going to be, but yet I never seem to get started early enough. I had planned on spending the morning leisurely finishing up gifts for Sabrina to take to school tomorrow, but the unexpected happened. None of us got very much sleep last night - Sabrina was agitated and tossed and turned for hours. After sleeping in this morning, she woke up tugging on her ear and wanted me to kiss it (a sure sign that it's an "owie"). After a trip to the doctor and waiting over an hour for her prescriptions, we are now back at home with antibiotics and ear drops for her ear infection and perforated ear drum. She is much happier now!

This year I had decided to keep gifts simple and to make them for her teachers, aides, therapists and a few of the very helpful ladies in the school office... My gift of choice is nugget tins, 17 in all. These tins fit 12 Hershey nuggets with a little room to spare. I stamped address labels and wrapped them around each nugget before filling each tin. Each tin is simply decorated with a band of cardstock/patterned paper, ribbon and a tag attached with baker's twine. I stamped the cuppie image, colored her and finished her off with a candy dot.

I'll be back tomorrow to show you the simple Valentine's that Sabrina will give to her classmates during their Valentine's Day party. Thanks for stopping by!
