Anything But Square Challenge

I'm not really sure about this one... it looks like it should have taken me 2 seconds to make, yet it took me a lot longer. I was inspired by Gina K's "Simple" post and her simple, yet elegant card. This is for OCC's Anything But Square challenge which turned out for me to be the Anything But Easy challenge. It was the first time that I cut a card out using my Nestabilities. It's been on my "to do" list, but I just hadn't gotten around to it. That part was really easy -- I tried it out on a white base to see if it would cut through both layers of cardstock and sure enough, it did! When I saw my circular card, I first thought of snow and remember Gina's card, so that's how the card evolved. The rest is pretty obvious. I wanted to add some shiny white ribbon, but it was a bit difficult to tie it around the circular scallop, so I just left it alone.

Cardstock: CTMH; Stamps: PTI; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nestabilities; piercing tool, rhinestones.
