My cards today feature Simply Stamped - Peonies. These stamps include 3 layers intended for you to layer each with different shades of ink. I stamped only the detail layer with distress inks, then I used a waterbrush to (attempt to) create the rest of the bloom. It's a fun technique that I will be doing more often (and practicing much more). :)
This one is done with Distress ink colors of Picked Raspberry and Twisted Citron. Here's a detail shot:
The next one uses Abandoned Coral and Twisted Citron distress inks (and a different sentiment). This one was inspired by the peonies that I planted last year. They didn't bloom last year, but they just started peeking out of the ground, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this spring!
