Back to School Mini Album

Hello! As I mentioned in my last post, our summer vacation has ended, and we are settling into our back to school routine. As we near the end of week 2, we welcome our first 3-day weekend of the school year! While I was editing my latest photos of Sabrina's first day of 6th grade, I had the idea to make a simple mini tag album of her first day photos, starting with preschool.

I used the Taylored Expressions Luggage Tag (largest size) die to create my album. To make sure that this is sturdy and will hold up to handling, I used chipboard as my base. Each photo was edited, cropped and printed. The edges of each tag were inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Since I will be adding to this album as years go by, I simply tied the tags together with some twill ribbon.

For the cover, I used the backpack image and sentiment from Mischief Maker - Back to School. I've used this set quite a bit, and I still love it! The backpack was stamped onto Choice Watercolor paper and colored with watercolors. I then fussy cut it and popped it up with foam tape. A tiny wood veneer star was added to the backpack.

Each page features a photo of Sabrina's first day of school, starting with preschool in 2006 and ending with the latest photo of her first day of 6th grade last week. I used Simple Stories DIY stickers (typeset) to add the grade to the bottom of each photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
