For my Project Life album, I am planning on using the Seafoam Core Kit, the monthly Studio Calico Project Life kits and my stash. For my pages, I'll use mostly Design A and Design F for my main pages and Design H for my inserts. I chose these because they seem to suit my shooting style the best.
Here is Project Life 2013 | Week 1:
spread with 6" x 12" insert
spread without insert
Week 1 covers 1/1/13 through 1/6/13. It was a picture-heavy week, including a trip to CA to visit family and a trip to the Rose Bowl for Dan. Here's the left side:
I don't have the Seafoam kit yet, so I used elements from the digital Seafoam Kit. Here's the right side:
I included a Week in Review card, which I haven't done in the past. I'm not sure if I'll add it every week or just when I think it's appropriate. There are no hard and fast rules with this project... :) Below is the 6" x 12" insert (front and back sides). The front of the insert includes a scan of Dan's Rose Bowl ticket and a few photos from the game (thank you, Matt, for taking photos!). Dan went to the game with a couple of his college friends (they are all Stanford alumni) and his brother, Todd. The back of the insert are photos of Sabrina with Papa, Nana and one of me.
I add text to some of my photos before I print them, and I also use a lot of digital brushes by Ali Edwards, available at Designer Digitals. And here are a few detail shots:
"Hello" speech bubble is from Freckled Fawn. I used some AC Thickers from my stash for "week 1" and the stamp at the bottom is part of from the Studio Calico January Project Life Kit, Block Party (which is now sold out).
2013 badge is also from the SC Project Life Kit. The date card is by Nisa Fiin and available at Jessica Sprague, HERE.
Above is a Studio Calico wood veneer heart, "awesome" sticker by My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing collection. I stamped "uncle" with Hero Arts block stamps. "Make a Wish" is from Verve's Birthday Bash and stamped onto a label from the SC kit.
Above and below is some washi tape and more MME stickers.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
