Mojo 254 -- Spread Your Wings

Hello! It's time for a brand new Mojo Monday sketch (#254). Carole has a fabulous sketch for us, so I hope you play along!

Today is the first day of school for my Sabrina. Not only is it her first day of 4th grade (sigh... I have no idea where the time went), but it is also her first day at a new school. Luckily, I'm probably more nervous about it than she is. :)

I used Wings of Love to make her a card that I will tuck into her backpack. Sabrina's favorite color is pink, and lately she's really into polka dots, so I used a couple of polka dot patterns. I pieced and colored the heart with wings and added some Star Dust Stickles to the wings for some sparkle. Here's a detail shot:

Verve Stamps is celebrating 5 years, and Julee is having a sale you won't want to miss!

Here's a look at Carole's sketch:

  1. Your card is gorgeous! Best wishes to your daughter. I know what you mean...my baby girl is 19 and will be heading off for her second year of college and I can't believe that she is a young lady. I want to take her school shopping, but have to remember she is an adult and she has to decide on her own. YIKES! Enjoy the time!

  3. Love how you flipped the sketch, Stephanie. The banner looks wonderful behind the sentiment! They do grow up quickly....I tell my kids I want to put a rock on their heads for a while! Three more weeks until mine are back in school and mommy gets a little "me" time again :)
