Project Life 2012 -- Week 1

Hello! Happy Valentine's Day! I found a lot of fun Valentine's projects that I wanted to make, but I ran out of time again this year. Every year I hope that Sabrina will want to make them with me, but no luck again this year. I did get her to sign her Valentine's cards over the weekend, though. She excited to pass out Valentine's to her friends at school and later on today I'll be going to her class party to take some pictures!

I have been working on my Project Life album when I have a bit of free time but not nearly as much as I've wanted. I'm hoping to carve out a little bit of time each week so that I can stay on top of it. I decided that I want my weeks to be Monday - Sunday, but since January 1st was on a Sunday, my first "week" is Sunday - Sunday. Sabrina was still on winter break, so we were able to hang out and have some fun at home. I have been working on this first week for awhile now, but I finally managed to finish it over the weekend.

First up is the left hand side (i.e. the first part of the week). Unfortunately, Sabrina had a little accident the week before and got a little scraped up, so she started off the year looking a little rough. Dan had commented that the upper photo of her looks like a mug shot. Luckily, her face healed quickly and is hardly noticeable anymore. :) This week was really Dan's week -- he went to the Fiesta Bowl to watch his alma mater play (Stanford), achieved Silver Life Master in bridge and turned 40!

In addition to the 2 page spread for the week, I added an 8.5" x 11" page protector in the middle. It holds Dan's certificate for Silver Life Master.

And on the other side is one of Sabrina's morning writing papers. She struggles with her fine motor skills and truly does not enjoy writing, but she has been working very hard with her para's (Elisa) help and encouragement.

The right side of the spread includes some fun Wii time (Mario Kart), making cupcakes for dad's birthday, playing on her keyboard and starting back with ballet lessons.

I'm finishing up on Week 2 and hope to post it this week, too.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Note: Project Life is a simplified way to document everyday life and was created by Becky Higgins. I am using the Clementine and Cobalt core kits as well as some items from my stash (Elle's Studio tags, Ali Edwards for Technique Tuesday stamps, etc.). I mainly use the Design A Photo Pocket Pages, but I  also add inserts when there is more that I want to document in the week.
