Mojo 203 -- With Gratitude

Hello! It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch (#203).. I hope you will join us this week!

Today's post is all about gratitude. My MIL passed away six months ago, and we had a memorial service for her over a very snowy weekend. A few weeks ago, the family came back together in order to do a road trip and have a few interment services as a final tribute to her. The locations were the hometown where she was born and grew up, a lakefront cabin where the family spent many summers, and the small town where she and her husband raised their kids. I made a few thank you cards for the people who helped to make this all possible.

The first is for our cousin, Georgine and her husband, who graciously hosted a luncheon for the extended family (a big crowd!) at their home. For all of the cards, I used the Verve set, Words Cannot Express and patterned paper from the BoBunny Welcome Home collection

The next card is for our cousin, Jeanne and her husband, who now own the cabin that Dan's family used to own. They were kind enough to let us use their cabin as an escape from the heat and mosquitoes! The weather was quite hot and humid, but it was nice getaway for the extended family as it was the final stop on our road trip. As I'm typing this up, I just realized that my sentiment is hidden (sorry!)... I didn't want to cover up the word "Family", so I added a few clear acetate hearts in lieu of the circular panel in the sketch.

The final card doesn't exactly follow the sketch as I wanted to include the words home in the card, so I switched the panel to be vertical. This one is for the gentleman who currently owns the house and property where my MIL grew up. He was kind enough to let us have a small service on site.

Here's a look at Debbie's fabulous sketch:
