Viva la Verve x 2 -- Birthdays!

Hello! I have a couple of cards to show you today.. I used the first 2 Viva la Verve sketches for April. All the details are in the Verve Splitcoast forum here (for week 1) and here (for week 2).

I checked the teacher birthday list and realized that there are 6 teacher birthdays in the next 10 days, so you may see a birthday theme here for a little while :)

My first card uses Circular Sayings. I stamped my sentiment, cut it out with a circle punch and popped it over a tatted flower (made by my SIL, Mary!). I added pearls to both cards (from Pizzazz Aplenty).

My second card uses Happy Days. Both cards use a lot of the same supplies (patterned paper - The Girls' Paperie Vintage Whimsy, colors and Sizzix embossing folder).

Here's a look at both sketches:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Your take on both sketches is truly amazing. Both cards have a certain elegance that I just LOVE. Most favorite part of both cards is that embossing folder you used for your backgrounds. It made me think of a clasic embroidery pattern. Subtle and stunning. Gorgeous!
