Be The Star You Know You Are

Good morning! I made this pop-up card for Verve's Project Parade. The theme is Friendship/Encouraging Words. This little creation will go in Sabrina's room to remind her how much we love her, how much we believe in her and as an encouraging reminder to "Be the Star you know you are". This sweet sentiment is part of the Verve set, Starstruck. I embossed the Hibiscus Burst cardstock with my Cuttlebug stars embossing folder and added a star rhinestone over the star on the sentiment to complete the "Star" theme.

This is Sabrina's 1st grade photo, taken just a month ago. I was asked by her teacher's and aides to share the photo with them, but I couldn't just cut the photo and hand it to them, so I decided to make them a pop-up card as well. Theirs will be very similar to this one, but with a sentiment to express our gratitude for everything they do.

Edit: Here is the teacher version I just finished - I used a floral embossing folder, PTI sentiment which I cut out using Ribbon Tag Trios 2 and tied some grosgrain ribbon around...

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!
