A Batch of Birthday Wishes

I didn't finish my card in time for this week's Our Creative Corner challenge, but I still used the sketch from 3/21/09 here. I thought it was a fun sketch to play with {I know I say that a lot, but I really mean it!}.

I started by stamping my Changito monkey image. I also stamped and cut out the cupcake. I paper-pieced his apron and the cupcake with patterned paper. I found my Liquid Applique {it was in my tool caddy, where it was supposed to be - go figure} and used it to puff up his chef's hat - unfortunately, you can't really see it in the photo. I popped up the cupcake to add some dimension and added some Star Dust stickles to the chocolate frosting.

Hope you're having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
