Appreciating Teachers & Dads!

Hello! Welcome to Taylored Expressions May 2016 Sneak Peeks! The Creative Team is kicking off 4 days of projects (3 days of peeks and release day). All products will be released on Thursday, May 5 @ 7 AM PDT.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2-6), I used the new Tagging Along die to make totes for a few of Sabrina's teachers and educational aides. The front of each tote was covered with the coordinating Tag Stacklets 1 (largest die), and the flower was created with Bloomin' Stacklets 3 and Bloomin' Accessories. The sentiment is from Toe-tally Awesome. Here's a look at one of the totes.

The side and back panels were decorated with coordinating chevron patterned paper from the Rainbow Brights 6x6 paper pad. The side pieces are included with the Tagging Along die. Inside the tote is a bag containing 2 lily bulbs.

I made a total of 6 totes in different colors of the rainbow. These colors just make me happy. :)

I made several trips to our local nursery on Friday to buy perennials and bulbs. When I originally made these totes, I wasn't really sure what I was going to put inside of them. Chocolate or cookies crossed my mind first. Then I put two and two together and decided to pair the "thanks for helping me BLOOM" sentiment with flowers. It's the perfect time of year to plant summer flowering bulbs, so I chose a variety of lily bulbs. Here's a photo of all of totes stuffed with the bulb packets. A few of the bulbs are pretty large and a couple are even blooming already.

I still need work on photographing multiple projects. The one above was taken on my standing desk where I take all of my photos. The one below was taken on my kitchen table with the help of a couple of risers. Needless to say, both surfaces are now covered with dirt! I'm sending Brina off with these today, and she's excited to deliver them!

Next, I have a couple of cards for Father's Day. I made one for Brina to give to dad and papa. They are nearly identical in design. The globe was created with the Whole Wide World die. The sentiment is from Best in the World. For the card below, instead of stamping Dad, I die cut the word from Pockets & Pages - June Script.

For the second version, I stamped Papa (included in Best in the World) in red.
