Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Calendar Critters + Project Life 2015

Hello! Welcome to day 3 of Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks! The Creative Team is continuing peeks today. All products will be released tomorrow, Thursday, November 5 @ 7 AM PST. My post today is very long and photo heavy, so I hope you will settle in for a bit because I'm really excited to show you what I've created!

Calendars make great gifts and are always well received! Today I went a different route with my set, creating filler cards for my 2015 Project Life album. I used the 2015 3x4 Calendar (the 2016 version is available in the TE store now).

My calendar features the new Calendar Critters (stamp set and coordinating dies sold separately) and Build a Scene - Calendar (which contains elements sized to work with the 3x4 calendars. To give you an idea of what the calendars look like when you purchase them, here's the packaging photo:

I customized mine with the new stamps and dies and also added my own patterned paper. Here are all of them together:

Here's a closer look... Each critter was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating die. I also added some shimmer with a Wink of Stella clear marker. The frame, hill, fence and sun below are included with Build a Scene - Calendar. January, February and March:

The tiny cloud and grass are also part of Build a Scene - Calendar. April, May and June:

July, August and September:

October, November and December:

As I mentioned, I opted to use mine in my Project Life album. I went super simple with my 2015 album this year. I've been using the Collect and Project Life apps on my iPhone. I use Collect to save a photo a day, then I use it to create a polaroid type 3x4 photo and export them monthly. Next I use the Project Life app to create a 4x6 photo (importing 2 of the 3x4 polaroids on a 4x6 layout). Every few months I upload photos and have them printed at Persnickety Prints. All I have to do is cut each 4x6 in half and slip it into a 3x4 pocket. I've already printed photos through September and have them in page protectors. When the year is over, I'll have October - December photos printed and will only have to slip them in the pockets and my album will be complete! I used Project Life Design F page protectors and trimmed them so that my pages are 9" wide x 12" tall.

Here are a few monthly layouts that I have finished:

ETA: I just noticed that I mixed up my February and March cards in the photo above and below. Oops!
