Taylored Expressions & Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog Hop Day 2!

Hello! Welcome to the second and final day of the Taylored Expressions and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog hop! I have a layout to share with you using stamps and dies from TE and an assortment of adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I am very picky about the adhesives that I use (and I hate for any of my elements to fall off of my papercrafting projects)... I was very excited to try out all of the different adhesives that Scrapbook Adhesives  by 3L so generously provided!

GIVEAWAY: To enter to win a Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L & Taylored Expressions Prize Pack ($30 value) filled with fun products to get your crafting, leave a comment on each hop designer blog (the entire list is at the bottom of my post). One lucky winner will be chosen at random from all blog hop comments. Deadline to enter: Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11:59 pm PST.

I made a layout using a photo of Sabrina taken on the recent July 4th holiday. She's holding the flag that she made at summer school. :)

On either side of my photo, I die cut 3 circles (removing the circles and using the negative die cut) from a 12 x 6 sheet of white cardstock, then I stitched it onto my 12 x 12 white cardstock base. Next I used the Seeing Stars dies to die cut the circle/star combination from white cardstock and patterned paper. I adhered the white circle (minus the star) with Thin 3-D Foam Squares, White variety, then I added the stars with 3-D Foam Squares, White variety so that they would pop up a little more than the circle portion.

Here are some detail shots:

I used the Whimsy Alpha and Whimsy #'s to die cut my title out of picnic basket patterned paper. To the left, I added the smaller of the 2 pinwheels from Pinwheel Parade. I adhered it to my layout using a 3-D Dodz.

I stamped Graphic Greetings Patriotic, matted it and added that next to my photo. The picnic basket stars underneath were created using the Reach for the Stars border. Before I die cut them, I adhered a strip of the picnic basket patterned paper to 4 x 6 Adhesive Sheets, then I ran the die through my Vagabond. Then all I had to do was remove the backing and adhere the star border right onto the navy cardstock. This was by far easier than adding adhesive (either liquid or dots/roller) to the star border by hand. I will be using these adhesive sheets for more of my die cut borders!
