Taylored Expressions August Release Day!

Hello and Happy Thursday! Welcome to the Taylored Expressions August Release Day! Everything that we have been previewing are now available in the TE Store! Here's a link to all new products (including some Summer CHA releases): Fresh Out of the Oven! And, don't forget to check out the Specials page, HERE!

Before you head off to shop, I have a couple of projects to show you! First is a card using Little Schoolhouse, part of the Apple Doodle Ink line and illustrated by Doug Applegate! This petite set includes an adorable schoolhouse as Doug's adorable abodes #8 and a sweet apple tree! It was concepted by our fabulous DT coordinator, Jami Sibley!

I kept my layout fairly simple. Once again, I used the Chevron Borders, but here as a mat to my polka dot patterned paper, they look like a zig zag border. I used the new Library Pocket Die to hold a Starbucks gift card. I chose to use the sweet apple tree, which I stamped, colored, cut out and popped atop my library pocket.

I added Glossy Accents to the apples. Here's a detail shot:

These are the Taylored Dies that I used on my card:

Up next is a Project Life 2012 spread | Week 22 | 5/28 - 6/3... We spent the week on vacation in CA (road trip to Yosemite National Park and a few stops on the way home). Because of the spectacular scenery (and my love for Yosemite), my pages are heavier on the photos than normal. :)

Left side: I created my Week 22 title card using the new Hexagon Stacklets (I used the smallest size here). "Week 22" was created with the Tall & Skinny Alphas and the new Tall & Skinny #s (yea for the addition of the matching number dies!).

Right side:

And here are some detail shots. In between my 2 pages, I added a 8.5" x 11" page protector, which I cut down and stitched so that it could hold the brochures that we received from the 2 parks we visited. First is Yosemite (+ a bookmark that a park ranger gave us for Sabrina). We asked for an extra brochure and bookmark so that I could add them to my PL album. :)

On the other side is the brochure from Death Valley (we mostly did a drive-through with a quick stop at one of the Visitor Centers to add a stamp to Sabrina's National Park Passport). Summer is the best time to hike in Death Valley. :)

Here's a closer look at my title card. You can see the hexagon pattern that I created (and all of the pink hexies are popped up with foam tape for some added dimension). The arrow is from the new set, Doodle Notes, which I stamped, colored and cut out. "Hello" is from Delightful DayDoodle Notes is a FUN set of doodles and sentiments that was concepted by Jen Shults and illustrated by Nancy McKinney!

Below I used the new Notepaper Border Die and used a typewriter for my journaling (which was done on a Grid Little Bitty Bag (new in the store!). The arrow and "Have fun!" are also from Doodle Notes.

I added text directly to some of my photos before printing them. Below is an Ansel Adams quote (one of my faves)!

I used another Little Bitty (Turquoise Stripe) bag as a journaling card below. It's hard to tell, but before I typed up my journaling, I used the Grid Paper A la Carte stamp and added a strip of Washi tape on the bottom.

My final detail shot includes an Instagram photo of Sabrina and Dan in front of the Death Valley sign (you can see a Kraft polka dot Bitty bag underneath it). "Saturday" is Washi tape from the October Afternoon 9 to 5 collection. I die cut 3 different hexies on Kraft cardstock, then I added the pink patterned paper under the negative cuts. After being gone for over a week, it's always nice to get back home, so I added "Home Sweet Home" (from Cozy Cottages) and used the Hearts A Plenty Dies to add a heart to my bottom hexagon.
