Sparkle Creations July Preview -- Bookworm Ruby

Hello and Welcome to the Day 2 of previews for the July One Year Anniversary release for Sparkle Creations Rubber StampsSparkle is releasing 4 new SCRS images and 2 new Karber images this Saturday! Today we are previewing the first SCRS image, Bookworm Ruby and sentiment, "good books build character"! I adore this sweet image and hope that you will, too.. I make birthday cards for the teachers at Sabrina's school, so I know that I will be using her again and again!

I first started by stamping Ruby on some lined patterned paper (Kaisercraft Class of '87) as I had planned on cutting a rectangle and punching the edges to look like a notebook paper edge. As a result, I had a lot of problems coloring her.. the paper definitely does not allow for blending like the Neenah or Papertrey cardstock that I normally use. Once I assembled my card, I decided that I didn't like it after all, so I ended up cutting out my image and popping it on top of my card.. Many times I start off thinking one thing and end up with a completely different product than I had originally imagined.. lol.

Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of Bookworm Ruby. Sparkle will be giving away a Bookworm Ruby to one lucky person! For a chance to win, you need to comment on all of the designer's blogs (list below). Then head on over to the SCRS blog and comment on the Ruby post. You have until midnight EST each day to comment. The lucky winner will be announced the following day!

I will be back again tomorrow with another preview and SCRS Challenge #50.. Thanks so much for stopping by!
