CR84FN25 -- Because of the Brave

Hello! It's time for another CR84FN Challenge! Thank you to all who joined us last week.. it was fun viewing all of your fabulous creations! For this week's challenge (CR84FN25), our color palette is Red, Aqua and White. The lovely photos in the graphic above are courtesy of Martha Stewart.

This is our final challenge for the month of April.. a huge thank you to our wonderful guest designer, Silke Ledlow!

Again, I'd like to say a big thank you for all of your well wishes about Sabrina.. I'm still not able to get any free time to craft or visit blogs, but I hope to soon.. Here's the last card that I made before her surgery..

When I first saw the colors of this challenge, I immediately thought of some patterned paper from the Lily Bee Picket Fence collection. When I saw the stars, it also made me think of Verve's American Hero. This set was released nearly a year ago, and this is the first time I've inked it up (bad me!).. After I stamped the whimsical frame, I realized that the stars in the corner were the same size as the stars on the patterned paper, so I cut them out of the patterned paper and added them to my frame, then I added a tiny rhinestone (from Pizzazz Aplenty) in the center of each star. I went a little crazy with my distressing here, but I promise that my cardstock started out as white.. :)

For all the challenge details, please be sure to visit the CR84FN blog HERE. I hope you will join us this week.. I can't wait to see what you create! For more inspiration, please visit my fellow design teammates:
