MTME Coffee House

Hello! Thanks to everyone who commented on my MTME release day post! Lauren has revealed the location of the Mystery Blogs DT blogs and the two random winners HERE!

Today is my day to share another project from the My Time Made Easy ™ LLC September release. Lauren will also have a fabulous project that you will not want to miss! When I first saw the Shop Around © and Shop Around Accessories © mega template, I immediately thought Coffee House, so I knew that one of my projects would be to create one in honor of my favorite TV show, Friends. Yes, I know they have been off the air for over 6 years, but I still miss it.. : ( My house doesn't exactly look like Central Perk, but that is where my inspiration came from!

I started off with the intent of keeping this very clean and simple. While I may have achieved that with the card, I didn't exactly do that with the Coffee Shop! I used Kristin's digi papers to cover the sides of the shop and coordinating striped paper for the roof (both from the Seawater collection). I also used my Fiskars Apron Lace border punch to add some scallops around my shop. Above that are navy Pebbles Candy Dots. The sign, coffee pot and "Coffee House" are all from the stamp set, Sign It. The window and door are from Home Improvement. "Open" is from You've Got Mail (the sentiment read Do Not Open and I only stamped the "Open" part. The light fixture is from Shoppe Window. Here's a closer view:

I added a chimney using the Shop Around Accessories template. After all, a chimney adds a homey feel to a coffee house! I added a window, flower box and drapes to the window (all from Home Improvement). "Coffee Shoppe" are from Sign It. Here's a view of one side:

You may notice the white fence all around the shop. I used the Home Improvements Coordinating Cuts file to cut the fence. There is a coordinating fence stamp in the Home Improvment stamp set, but I wanted my fence all white, so I only used the cut file. I added the fancy window from Shoppe Window to the other side of the shop, along with a cup of coffee and cupcake (from On Display 1). I added color with my Copic markers. Side two view:

On the back I added a couple of windows (from Home Improvement), the small coffee pot (from Sign It) and more fence. Here's a photo of the simple backside:

I kept my card fairly simple, using Fall-to-Layout 105. I stamped the house from Sign It, colored it with Copics and added the sentiment, "With a latte thanks!".

Thanks so much for stopping by!
