MTME Final May Group Post

Hello! Have you checked out all of the My Time Made Easy © May releases? Pretty great stuff.. all of it!Today, our entire team is showing our final release projects! My final project is something I made for my daughter, Sabrina, using the Boxed Lunch © template.

Originally, Lauren designed the box to be a little lunch box, but as always all of her templates are versatile and can be transformed into whatever inspires you. The template comes with cut pieces to make the handle and all the hardware on a traditional lunch box (would be on the lower portion of the box as it is shown above). I chose to turn it into a purse box by adding some ribbon to the other side of the box. Sabrina is all girl and loves purses! I made the base out of some fun polka dot patterned cardstock and the lid is sturdy white cardstock.

She loves to doodle and her handwriting skills are becoming to emerge as well. She has oodles of notepads and pieces of paper all over the house. I filled this little box with a personalized Peanuts ™ notepad, pencil, some fun stickers and a little snack (she loves chocolate!).

To decorate the front, I started with the decorative lid layer and added the ABC punched border. I also added another white cardstock layer for my image and stitched it all together. I stamped the lunchbox from Lunch Box Love Notes ©, paper-pieced part of it with the same polka dot cardstock as the base and colored the rest in with Copic markers. I stamped the center of the lunchbox using another image from the same set. It reads "You're A Star". I used Spica Glitter pens to color the stars (Lipstick and Melon) and hardware (Silver).

Here's a detail shot:

Finally, I made her a card to go along with the box. Her birthday is coming up next week, but this is a little "just because" gift to encourage her and to let her know how proud we are of her. I punched the same ABC border and used scraps of the polka dot paper. I stamped the flourish from Fanciful Flourishes © across the layers on the front and added a couple of chipboard stars from my stash. On the larger star, I stamped "Reach for the Stars" from Lunch Box Love Notes Additions ©.

Please be sure to visit the rest of the MTME team today as they are also showing off their final creations... you definitely won't want to miss any of it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
