CAS Verve

Hello! Verve Stamps is releasing new sets tonight! Today kicks off their Spring Fling Party. Beginning at 1 PM EST, one of the Divas will be posting either a challenge, sneak peek and a chance to win some prizes! The release party begins at 9 PM EST HERE.

Lynda is hosting the first challenge, and she invited me to be her guest {of course I said YES}! Her challenge is to make a CAS (Clean and Simple) card with flowers on it! To join in and see more details about her challenge, go HERE.

Detail shot:

I had no problem with flowers portion of the challenge (grin)... CAS? Well, that is sometimes a challenge for me, but I have really been trying to make more CAS cards (it's ok to add stitching, right?!). I instantly knew that I wanted to use the large flower from Love's Flower! I first randomly stamped it on my small white panel, sprinkled on some clear embossing powder, then I used my heat gun to create the subtle floral background. Next, I embossed the flower in black 3 times onto my designer paper, cut out each layer and popped each on top to create my flower. I curled the edges a bit with my stylus and added a black pearl to the center. I also embossed the sentiment "Wishing You".

I finished off the inside as well. I left the white panel plain (no embossing) so that I could write a little note inside. Once again, I embossed the words "Peace Love and Joy" and added a tiny pearl in between each word. Sorry - it was really hard to photograph the black embossing and fancy script..

Thanks so much for stopping by!
