On Wings of Joy Mass Production

Happy Friday! I decided to play along with the Taylored Expressions Merry Mass Production challenge to mass produce some Christmas cards for my stash. I'm not a huge fan of mass production, but when you make 100+ cards (like I do) for Christmas, sometimes it is a necessity. So, I sat down to make some fairly simple cards, but I ended up spending a bit more time than I had planned on my "model" (I usually try to complete one card to make sure that I like it, then I set out to mass produce). So, here's my model... I used Taylor's sketch, TESC86, once again.

I used one of my all-time favorite Cuppie images, Snowman Cuppie, from Home Sweet Home. I colored him with a combination of Prismacolor pencils/Gamsol and Copic markers and paper-pieced his scarf and part of his hat. I also wanted to incorporate one of Taylor's newest holiday sets, Wings of Joy, as well. I stamped the little birdie (from the Joy image), colored and cut her out and popped her atop one of Cuppie's arms. I added some Star Dust Stickles to Birdie's hat. The ric rac grosgrain is bright pink, and nearly a perfect match for my patterned paper, though I can never that pink to photograph correctly... I promise in real life, it matches! Finally, I absolutely love how some stampers finish off the insides of cards. Denise is one I've seen do this the most often. Here's a look at the inside of the card:

And last but not least, here is my "mass production" pile ~ I made 5 cards in all.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!
