Greetings - Card for a Cause

I had the chance to "meet" Jen Tapler a few months ago when I was a Verve guest designer. She is one of the fabulous Verve Divas and uber-talented! When I saw that she was celebrating her 1-year blogoversary with a challenge to create cards for a wonderful cause, I definitely wanted to participate. She will be collecting and selling them through a charity auction. Proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Association, in honor of her father, who is in the late stages of this terribly heartbreaking disease. For more details on her challenge and a chance to win her huge blog candy, check out her post HERE.

I used Amy Rysavy's Friday sketch #54 to design my card. It was such a fun sketch to use -- I think I will be using this one again! When Mailbox Greetings was first released last year, I had planned on using it on my Christmas cards (and starting them in June). I really struggled with it at first (I had just bought my first handful of Copic markers and couldn't color for the life of me!). It's such a versatile set that can be used for just about any occasion. The mailboxes remind me of my SIL, Mary, Postmaster Extraordinaire.

Thanks for stopping by -- have a wonderful day!
